The Company
A highly respected organisation in the insurance and financial services space, serving customers across both rural and urban communities. Known for customer trust and quality service, they're now investing in large-scale data transformation to support next-gen underwriting and pricing systems.

The Team
This role sits within the Underwriting and Pricing Data team (team of 17), reporting to a Senior Data Manager. You'll be part of a close-knit data team of four, acting as subject matter experts and driving data governance across broader functions like Pricing, Product, and IT.

The Role
A high-impact, change-focused role supporting the implementation of a new policy administration system. You'll lead on data mapping, integration, and collaboration across multiple functions, using SQL and Power BI to drive insights and optimise workflows. You'll also mentor junior analysts and manage day-to-day workflow.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead on translating legacy data into new systems and mapping against new infrastructure.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Product, Pricing, IT, and Underwriting.
- Build and manage dashboards, data pipelines and transformation processes.
- Consolidate datasets for pricing models and reporting.
- Provide strategic recommendations based on trends and analysis.
- Mentor junior analysts and manage task allocation across the data sub-team.
- Champion Agile practices and drive data-led change.
- Feed insights back into central teams to improve data governance and accessibility.

Key Requirements
- Strong SQL skills (essential).
- ETL experience, ideally with Azure Data Factory or SSIS.
- Data visualisation skills (Power BI preferred).
- Ability to interpret data, not just extract it.
- Experience mentoring or managing workflows in small teams.
- Agile mindset, proactive problem-solver.
- No insurance background required, but must pick up domain knowledge quickly.

The Benefits
- £48,000 base salary
- Clear progression framework with internal mobility and promotion focus.
- Personal development and leadership training opportunities.
- Collaborative and high-trust team culture.
- Modern offices with onsite parking and facilities.

Interview Process
Stage 1:
- Online G+ assessment (verbal, numerical, inductive). Must be completed before interview.

Stage 2:
- 1st stage interview including presentation task.
- Presentation: Outline your approach to a transformation project (e.g. cloud migration).
- Interview panel includes data and pricing leads.

Why Apply?
Join a business making genuine data-driven changes across core functions. You'll work in a high-impact team, be close to senior stakeholders, and shape how data powers underwriting and product strategy for the future.
