Senior Machine Learning Engineer – Remote
We are looking for a highly skilled Machine Learning Engineer with strong ML Ops expertise to help design, build, deploy, and manage machine learning pipelines in production environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in machine learning algorithms, deep learning, data engineering, and experience in automating the deployment, monitoring, and scaling of models through ML Ops practices.
Responsibilities:
- Model Development: Design and develop machine learning models to solve complex problems using a variety of algorithms, including supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning techniques.
- ML Ops Implementation: Develop and deploy ML workflows, integrating version control, automation, and monitoring practices to streamline model development and deployment.
- Pipeline Development: Build and maintain end-to-end machine learning pipelines for continuous integration, continuous deployment (CI/CD), and model retraining.
- Automation: Automate model training, testing, and deployment processes, ensuring high levels of efficiency and reliability in production.

THE COMPANY
This startup is on track to be a groundbreaker in the financial technology space. With a recent Series A fundraise in the bank, their team is looking for a Machine Learning Operations Engineer to assist in building out their innovative AI-powered accounting platform, to design their infrastructure from start to finish, and to serve as a founding member of their lightweight, streamlined team.
THE ROLE
The MLOps engineer will play a fundamental role on this 14-person team and will be responsible for building and maintaining an AI platform with data accuracy as a crucial cornerstone.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Building a major data infrastructure platform from the ground up, working primarily in Python.
- Maintaining platform reliability over time.
- Developing and maintaining crucial, fail-resistant data pipelines.
- Organizing, scaling, and maintaining many data models that operate in tandem.
WHO YOU ARE
- You come from a Machine Learning background, with an emphasis on infrastructure engineering projects.
- You have experience (and interest) in accounting and financial data infrastructure.
- You are familiar with the process of growing a startup through multiple rounds of funding.
- You are highly proficient in Python.
- You have completed a major data infrastructure project from start to finish.
- You are comfortable working in a busy, pioneering environment.
BENEFITS
- An annual salary of $190,000 – 220,000 depending on experience
