Senior Data Engineer

A growing, customer-focused food business in the B2C and B2B space is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to lead the development and management of their cloud-based data infrastructure. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape a modern data function at the core of the company’s commercial and customer strategy across the UK, Ireland, and North America.


The Role

You’ll be part of a collaborative, forward-thinking Data & Analytics team, responsible for ensuring data is clean, secure, and optimised for advanced analytics, business intelligence, and AI initiatives. This is a hands-on leadership role with the opportunity to manage a data engineering apprentice and own key strategic projects-including a full cloud migration.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and enhance cloud-based data infrastructure (Azure) across multiple international markets

  • Own the development and performance of ETL pipelines, ensuring integrity and consistency

  • Lead the migration of legacy environments into Azure Cloud

  • Maintain and synchronise Dev, Test, and Production environments using DevOps principles

  • Drive improvements in data quality, access controls, and security compliance

  • Support analytics, BI, and predictive modelling teams with infrastructure and documentation

  • Monitor and troubleshoot production issues, implementing preventative solutions

  • Mentor a junior data engineer and serve as a technical lead for data tooling and governance


What We’re Looking For

A technically strong, solution-oriented Data Engineer who thrives in a dynamic, collaborative environment and brings both strategic insight and deep technical delivery capability.

✅ Essential Skills

  • 5+ years’ experience in SQL-based production environments (DBA/Data Engineering)

  • Strong SQL/T-SQL skills for dynamic data warehouse processes

  • Expertise in Azure, SSIS, and Databricks

  • Solid understanding of data modelling, integration, and transformation

  • Experience managing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows

  • Strong communication skills and a problem-solving mindset

Our client, an award-winning insight & strategy agency, is seeking a Social Listening Consultant for a fast-paced engagement on behalf of a global pharmaceutical company’s respiratory portfolio. Your focus will be on the Japanese market to surface rich patient and caregiver conversations that inform brand strategy, product positioning, and go-to-market planning.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Social Listening & Analysis: Build, refine, and execute Boolean queries in Brandwatch (required) and Keyword.io (highly desirable)
  • Monitor and analyse conversations around sleep disruption; colds, flu & viral infections; respiratory functions (lung capacity, oxygen care, breathing problems), and related health topics
  • Data Gathering & Synthesis: Aggregate insights from online forums, social media channels, and review sites
  • Identify trends, sentiment shifts, and emerging themes
  • Insight Commentary: Craft concise, compelling narratives and slide-ready summaries
  • Present findings alongside strategic recommendations to the project lead and wider team
  • Collaboration: Work closely under the project lead’s guidance, coordinating with analysts covering other markets to ensure consistency and share best practices

Skills & Experience

  • Definite: Fluent Japanese speaker
