Over de rol:
Als Data Engineer ga je een cruciale rol spelen in het ontwikkelen van het datagedreven energiesysteem van de toekomst. Je zult nieuwe datastromen creëren en ontsluiten tussen verschillende IT-systemen die de 24-uurs economie draaiende houden. Dit doe je door datawarehouses te combineren met event- en real-time data uit sensoren in bijvoorbeeld het energienet. Daarnaast koppel je deze informatie aan open databronnen op het web.
Met jouw technische expertise zorg je ervoor dat deze datastromen efficiënt gekoppeld worden met de nieuwste (open source) software en (cloud) systemen. Door het ontsluiten van data vanuit legacy-systemen, maak je het voor Data Scientists gemakkelijker om functionele datastromen te bewerken en te combineren. Hiermee ontwikkel je voorspellende en machine learning modellen voor een steeds duurzamer energienet.
Ervaring en kwalificaties:
– Je hebt minimaal 3-4 jaar werkervaring in Big Data, Data Engineering of Cloud Engineering.
– HBO of WO afgeronde opleiding en relevante ervaring (medior & senior niveau) in Computer Science, Informatica of een vergelijkbare opleiding. Of aantoonbare ervaring als Data Engineer.
– Je hebt ervaring met codingtools zoals Python en SQL.

Role Overview:
As an IT Engineer (Azure Specialist), you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. You will work closely with various teams to ensure that our Azure environment is secure, scalable, and optimized for performance. This role demands a deep understanding of cloud technologies, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage Azure-based infrastructure and services, including virtual machines, storage solutions, and networking.
- Monitor and optimize the performance, security, and cost-efficiency of Azure resources.
- Provide technical support and guidance to development teams on Azure best practices, including CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and automation.
- Implement and maintain disaster recovery solutions and backup strategies within Azure.
- Collaborate with the IT and security teams to ensure compliance with security policies and regulations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Azure services, including network configurations, resource availability, and performance bottlenecks.
- Stay current with new Azure features and updates, and evaluate their potential benefits to the organization.
- Document and maintain Azure infrastructure, processes, and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an IT Engineer with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
- Strong knowledge of Azure services, including virtual machines, Azure Active Directory, networking, storage, and security.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or Azure DevOps.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a cloud environment.
- Azure certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect, or Azure DevOps Engineer are highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
