FOUNDING ENGINEER (AI & Virtual Technologies)

Location: Remote

Compensation: $170,000 – $190,000 Salary | 0.75% – 1% Equity

They are now looking to add a Founding Engineer to their small, high-impact team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-funded, fast-growing company at the ground level, playing a key role in shaping the product and user experience.

THE ROLE:

As a Founding Engineer, you’ll work at the intersection of engineering, product, and growth. You’ll be expected to move fast, solve problems creatively, and have a direct impact on the product from day one. The ideal candidate is a builder at heart, with a passion for turning ideas into reality and a strong foundation in engineering.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Build and Ship: Develop and launch new features using React and contribute to core engineering tasks.
• Engage with Users: Gather insights and iterate on product development based on real user feedback.
• Growth Engineering: Optimize growth funnels, conduct A/B tests, and experiment to drive user acquisition and engagement.
• Marketing Support: Apply engineering skills to optimize Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), evaluate channel performance, and experiment with new growth strategies.
• Prototype & Innovate: Create new interactions for virtual people, including game experiences via screen sharing.

CORE REQUIREMENTS:

• 4-year Computer Science degree (or equivalent)
• Proven ambition, drive, and quick learning ability
• Track record of creative problem-solving and resourceful execution
• Proficiency in using AI to enhance productivity and creativity
• A relentless drive to be the best and achieve exceptional results

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience building consumer products (social, gaming, AI)
• Background in growth hacking and a data-driven, experimentation mindset
• Entrepreneurial experience, ex-founder, or early-stage startup background
• Experience in companies with high SWE hustle (e.g., Applied Intuition, Ramp, Duolingo)

THE ROLE

The Role:
